Welcome to Folkloreum

Gregory Lee White—widely known as Papa Gee—is an author, folklorist, and storyteller whose work spans books, The Feral Folklorist podcast, the Feral Folktales series, and a growing collection of videos exploring ghosts, folklore, and unusual beliefs. Folkloreum brings all of these projects together under one roof.

The site centers on the subjects he investigates most: hauntings, old stories, regional folklore, strange customs, and the beliefs people carry forward without realizing where they began. Some material connects directly to his podcast, some comes from his books and articles, and some draws on decades of research and fieldwork.

Folkloreum is the home base for all of it.
For anyone fascinated by ghost lore, folk traditions, superstitions, and the culture behind them, there is plenty here to explore.

The Feral Folklorist is a podcast where spooky folklore, haunted history, and real magic meet. Hosted by Papa Gee, each episode unpacks unsettling legends with a sharp eye, a little irreverence, and spellwork you can actually use.

folktales
Feral Folktales is a series of bonus mini-episodes that appear between the full installments of The Feral Folklorist podcast. Each one is a simple, spoken traditional folktale told the old-fashioned way—plain, grounded, and meant to sound like a real person sharing a story out loud.Gregory has written nineteen books on folk magic, superstition, conjure, and magical crafting. His work is practical, rooted in tradition, and built from years of hands-on experience.
